Your rights to live in your villa are secured by perhaps the ultimate form of tenure for a retirement village - a 99 year lease.
The Lease which is registered on title at the Land Titles Office guarantees that the terms of the Lease are to be honoured by all or any party involved with Maison Retirement, the operator, or any subsequent operator who shall be legally bound to maintain the services and facilities of the village. This in turn guarantees continuity of management for the life of that Lease
Your rights and obligations, as are those of Maison Retirement, are clearly set out in the Lease. These rights and obligations cannot be changed unless you agree and consent to such change.
